Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity for a Production Planner/ Logistics Officer to join our team at Wetherill Park, reporting to the Operations Manager. The role will include but will not be limited to the following responsibilities:


•    Plan and establish overall production objectives with consideration given to existing workload, orders, delivery dates, sales and production forecasts
•    Ensure Ausreo has the appropriate resources including manufacturing capacities and availability of staff to meet customers' expectations on their delivery date
•    Make primary decisions for tonnage allocation (e.g., machine or warehouse).
•    Ensure the plan is achievable given available plant capacity (assumed to be 100% available
•    Maintain balanced, accurate, and achievable Production Plans for both AM and PM delivery runs.
•    Efficiently build confirmed loads to optimise production capacity and streamline transport loading and dispatch.
•    Communicate with internal employees on matters pertaining to schedules, production, methods and materials to resolve enquiries
•    Utilise sound relationship management skills to achieve NCR resolutions.
•    Assist the Production Manager to review, evaluate and improve production policies and procedures


To be successful, the ideal candidate must have:


•    Technical knowledge and skills in manufacturing control and management
•    Capable of competently liaising with internal staff in professional and pleasant manner
•    Work in a team environment that fosters getting the job done
•    Ability to multi task people, events, systems and deadlines
•    High degree of quality awareness
•    Possess practical knowledge of products and services within the reinforcing steel industry 
•    Have good working knowledge of load restraint
•    Excellent computing skills
•    Self-motivated and ability to work unsupervised
