Job Description

An exciting opportunity currently exists for an experienced Business Development Manager to join the Trade Service Centre Network from Sunshine North. You will be responsible for generating and maintaining sales of Ausreo products for building and construction work including, but not limited to the Tier 2, Commercial and Industrial building.

Reporting directly to the  Area Manager – Metropolitan your responsibilities will include:

  • Develop and maintain working relationships with decision makers through different channels, such as technical selling presentations, multimedia, sponsorships, attendance at building industry functions and other corporate events.
  • Maximise sales opportunities by liaising with customers in various market segments
  • Coordinate all functions of the company to fulfil contract supply requirements
  • Prepare pricing strategies and quotations
  • Identify opportunities using various sources including customers and leads providers and report on lead progress in the Customer Relationship Management system.
  • Promote opportunities to supply value add products and services such as accessories by interpreting building plans
  • Liaise with internal and external sales team members and Trade Service Centres to collate advice on potential customers and projects and negotiations on supply agreements in line with pricing strategies
  • Establish and maintain a high degree of quality awareness, resulting in delivery of products and services of high quality
  • Liaise with Schedulers, Services Centres, Production and the Despatch teams in the co-ordination of customer orders and deliveries

Our ideal candidate

  • Commercial knowledge of products and services within the Construction and Building Industry
  • Proven track record in field sales and achievements
  • Customer orientated, capable of competently liaising with internal staff and customers in professional and pleasant manner
  • High level of negotiation skills
  • Existing network of contacts and the ability to develop long term business relationships
  • Excellent Communication skills
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Ability to research and target the appropriate market segments
